The Consumer Financial Protection Bureau released its spring 2023 rulemaking agenda. This latest agenda includes new plans for rulemaking pursuant to Section 1024 of the Dodd-Frank Act. The rule would create new oversight for larger nonbank participants in the consumer payments market. The agenda gives an estimate of July 2023 for the issuance of the notice of proposed rulemaking.
