The National Association of Minority Mortgage Bankers of America (NAMMBA) launched its new Certified Community Lender Designation (CCL) program. This program is designed to enhance the skills and expertise of mortgage originators by providing them with the knowledge, resources and best practices to positively impact their communities.
The program includes courses on:
- Affordable lending.
- Building a winning business plan.
- Ways to win with Realtors.
- Building your business with builders.
- Branding yourself as the “market expert.”
- Collaborating with your community.
- The art of digital communicating and networking.
- How to host well-attended events.
The CCL program is being marketed as a way to gain the tools to connect with the millions of single women, communities of color, millennials, and LGBTQ+ community members, which make up a substantial and growing portion of the real estate and lending market.
“The CCL program is designed to help connect and engage [lenders] to the multi-cultural marketplace,” NAMMBA founder and CEO Tony Thompson said. “Over the next five years, the multi-cultural marketplace offers a $2.9 trillion opportunity for purchase originations and residential sales.
