To reduce the likelihood that disruptions to a banking organization’s regular sources of funding will compromise its liquidity position, the Federal Reserve Board, Federal Deposit Insurance Corp. and the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency have proposed a rule that would implement a stable funding requirement: the net stable funding ratio to complement the Liquidity Coverage Ratio.
