The Consumer Financial Protection Bureau filed two consent orders April 25, ordering the debt collection law firm Pressler & Pressler, LLP; its two principal partners; and New Century Financial Services, Inc., a debt buyer, to halt certain conduct that the bureau said violated the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act and the Consumer Financial Protection Act.
