IG weighs CFPB compliance with small business impact requirements

Some Washington watchers have expressed concern that new regulations crafted by the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau could harm small businesses. The inspector general for the CFPB and the Federal Reserve recently rated the bureau’s compliance with Dodd-Frank provisions that require the agency to assess the impact of its proposed rules on the cost of credit for small entities.
