The Consumer Financial Protection Bureau issued a report highlighting alleged illegal actions uncovered by the bureau’s supervision of the debt collection, consumer reporting and payday lending markets. The report also revealed that recent non-public CFPB supervisory activities have resulted in more than $70 million in remediation to approximately 775,000 consumers.
